The mother of a toddler reported missing from her father's home in Maine a month ago says she was unable to finish a lie detector test because of a medical condition.
Trista Reynolds, the mother of 1-year-old Ayla Reynolds, said in a message posted on a website dedicated to finding the little girl that she started taking a polygraph test on Wednesday but was told by the test administrator that she could not finish because of the undisclosed condition.
Trista Reynolds said she would be willing to complete the test after treatment by a doctor, but added that investigators were content with the results of the incomplete test.
?This is far from the result I wanted to share with the public," Reynolds posted, "but I will take the advice of the administrator and seek attention for my medical condition so I can be healthy enough to be re-tested if required."
Reynolds confirmed Wednesday night she had written the statement but declined to comment.
The toddler's father Justin DiPietro previously took a polygraph test but hasn't released results. The couple doesn't live together.
According to the Waterville Morning Sentinel, DiPietro said he took a polygraph test shortly after Ayla?s disappearance on Dec. 17, 2011. DiPietro claims he didn?t see the test results, but state police say they told him how he did, the paper reported.

Last week, investigators searched an area of the Kennebec River near downtown Waterville in an attempt to rule out the possibility that the 21-month-old toddler was in the water, according to the Bangor Daily News newspaper. Authorities said more searches may be conducted in other areas in the future.
Trista Reynolds, the mom of missing Maine toddler Ayla, tells TODAY's Matt Lauer she's still suspicious of the baby's father for his sudden interest in the case.
