Lia Sophia Review | Jewelry Design News

Fashion jewelry is hotter than ever today! Lia Sophia seems to have gathered a rather large and loyal following. Celebrities are wearing it and even my local news anchor is wearing this jewelry.

So what is Lia Sophia?

Lia Sophia seems to be hot and new, but in reality this is a thirty year company. Bought out by Victor Kiam, (Remington Shavers), in 1986, he along with his wife saw this company as a way to help women and provide a quality product. In 2000 his son Tory was promoted to president and in 2003 the company re-organized as Lia Sophia.

This is still a family owned business and is very devoted to it?s advisors and customers. They offer an unmatched 100% Lifetime Replacement Guarantee. If any jewelry breaks or is even tarnished the company will take it back and replace it with a new item. In the case of a retired item they will offer the dollar value towards a new item.

Lia Sophia is a supporter of Dress For Success, which is a program designed to help women get the clothes they need to get a job and clothes they need to keep a job, and present a professional appearance. Dress For Success has helped over 450,000 women around the world.

How does this business work?

The startup is currently $149.00 and you will receive all the training material needed for the business and over $1,000.00 in jewelry. An Advisor will then host in-home jewelry parties to show off the jewelry. These in-home shows are the backbone of the business and 8-10 shows a month can provide an Advisor with a monthly income around $1,000.00. Advisors earn 30% sales commission from their parties. An Advisor who wants to make more income will bring new people on the team. An Advisor is promoted to Manager and then will receive an additional 10% from the sales of their team. Also they will receive monthly bonuses based on total sales. Advisors that reach sales goals for the year are awarded a trip to exotic locations like Hawaii, Jamaica, and even Disney World.

Personal observations of Lia Sophia.

Women seem to really like the jewelry and have a great time at the parties. These parties are usually about 2 hours long and most of that time is spent playing games. Unlike most direct sales companies the Advisors are not driven to recruit new advisors and most of the party is about fun and jewelry. An Advisor can make an excellent living just by doing in-home parties, but will grow their business by bringing in new advisors to the team. This will generate a passive income that can quickly grow larger than the money from in-home parties alone.
